Built on Heritage. Driven by Results.
Newport Pembury & Co was founded on the principle that growing businesses deserve the same calibre of financial leadership as the largest corporations.
Our Story
Every growing business reaches a point where the financial decisions become too complex for the founding team alone, but too early for a full-time CFO. Newport Pembury & Co exists for that moment.
We provide the strategic financial leadership that transforms uncertainty into clarity, complexity into confidence, and ambition into actionable growth. Whether you're navigating an acquisition, restructuring debt ahead of a sale, managing seasonal fluctuations, or implementing systems to scale, we sit in the CFO seat beside you.
The difference we bring is hands-on experience across the entire financial spectrum—from day-to-day cash flow management to enterprise-scale transactions. We've been in the room when it matters.
Meet the Director
Timothy Messieh
Timothy brings a rare combination of hands-on CFO experience and operational excellence. Over his career, he has navigated the full complexity of financial leadership—from day-to-day operations to strategic transactions that define a business's future.
Transactions & M&A. Timothy has been directly involved in acquiring two businesses over a three-year period in the pet transport industry, handling everything from financial due diligence to post-acquisition integration. Most recently, he served as CFO during a successful business sale, managing critical processes including debt restructuring, data room preparation, and term sheet negotiation with institutional buyers.
Financial Modeling & Systems. Throughout his career, Timothy has built extensive financial models and forecasts that became the day-to-day tools guiding business decisions. He led the implementation of NetSuite ERP, built a bespoke booking system as project lead, and has hands-on experience across Xero, MYOB, Salesforce, Zoho, Employment Hero, Deputy, Airwallex, Stripe, and Tableau. His approach is practical—systems exist to serve business growth, not the reverse.
Cash Flow & Seasonal Challenges. Timothy has managed the complexities of seasonal cash flow in a tourism business, navigating large peaks and troughs across the financial year. This experience has taught him how to build resilience into financial planning and manage working capital strategically.
Our Heritage
Newport Pembury & Co carries a name with meaning and history. It honours Rev. Mapson Williams, Tim's great-grandfather—a Welsh rugby international who played for Newport RFC and earned his Wales cap in the 1923 Five Nations Championship, a signal achievement in an era when rugby defined national pride.
After his playing years, Mapson answered a different calling, becoming an Anglican minister serving communities in southern Sydney. His wife, Ruth, played the treadle organ at St. Stephens, weaving faith and service into the fabric of local life. Their legacy was one of discipline, excellence, and quiet service—values that demanded integrity in all things and a commitment to serving something larger than oneself.
The Newport Pembury & Co name carries forward that legacy of discipline, service, and quiet excellence. We bring the same standards to your financial leadership—rigorous, principled, and utterly reliable.
